Judy Garrison started working at MyFedBenefits in 2021. Her favorite parts of the job are the training, her fellow team members, the strong leadership, and the support offered. She appreciates the opportunity to not just sell a product, but to assist federal employees who sincerely need help.
Quint Powell is a retirement specialist with MFB, he started in 2020. His favorite thing about working here is being able to provide solutions to federal employees who don’t have anywhere else to turn to. He recommends this job who is tired of working the typical, corporate 9-5 job. He appreciates that in this field he gets to interact with a variety of people and get out in the field, rather than being tied to a desk.
Raul Carrizoza joined MFB as a TM in 2024 after an unexpected introduction while working as an Uber driver. He picked up an MFB leader who was on a call discussing how many people MFB has helped and how they could help even more. Although Raul didn’t know what the passenger did at the time, the conversation inspired him to want to be part of it. Now, more than a year into his role at MFB, Raul finds fulfillment in helping federal employees and values the support of his team, making him genuinely excited to work each day.
Brandon’s Story: How the 2008 Housing Crash Forged a Sales Leader
In the early 2000s, Brandon Nicol found his calling in real estate. He enjoyed meeting people, solving problems, and helping families find their dream homes. But when the 2008 housing market collapsed, everything he had built came crashing down. Deals dried up, homes sat unsold, and the career he thought would last a lifetime was suddenly gone.
Like many, Brandon faced fear, doubt, and the heavy question: “What now?”
Instead of walking away from sales altogether, he chose to pivot. He turned to insurance, a field where families needed protection and guidance more than ever. It wasn’t easy starting over but the skills he had sharpened in real estate, like listening, empathy, and persistence, became his greatest advantage.
That’s when he discovered Join the Fed. The program didn’t just train him to sell, it transformed him into a professional with purpose. Through mentorship, structure, and a proven system, Brandon learned how to turn rejection into resilience. He was working in a market that wasn’t just about making sales; he was building relationships and helping people protect their futures.
Since then Brandon has worked his way up to become a partner in FedHelp, investing back into the company that once invested in him.
